Travelogue
What is the Travelogue?
In the spring of 2007, IPRO launched its own custom software to help facilitate corporate travel needs. This initiative was developed in an effort to expedite the process of submitting a travel request, as well as for accounting reconciliation purposes.
How do I access the Travelogue?
As a web-based system, the Travelogue can be used both on and off site. The user opens this
site
in the browser, logs in the same way as logging into IPRONET (for example, jdoe for John Doe and then uses employee ID as password), enters the travel request, and electronically submits it for approval and submission to IPRO's travel agent.
Who can enter a travel request?
All IPRO staff have access to the Travelogue and can enter their own travel requests. However, individual departments have established procedures on how travel is to be requested, and may have restrictions on staff entering their own request. In this case, a Co-Submitter will enter the travel and submit the request.
What is a Co-Submitter?
Every employee has been assigned a Co-Submitter who has the ability to request travel on their behalf. This person may be an Administrative Assistant or Program Coordinator who has been authorized by the department manager to submit travel for any number of staff. Like the staff member themselves, a Co-Submitter has the ability to submit and retrieve travel information as needed.
What is a Co-Submitter 2?
In the event that Co-Submitter 1 is not available to make submissions, Co-Submitter 2 has the same system rights and can act as a back up whenever necessary.
What is a Travel Approver?
IPRO’s policy requires that all travel requests be approved. To meet this requirement, department managers have assigned a Travel Approver to every staff member in their area. Travel Approvers are notified of a request by email and can "electronically" approve or disapprove a request.
What is a Travel Approver 2?
In the event that Travel Approver 1 is not available, Travel Approver 2 has the same system rights and can act as a back up whenever necessary.
What is a Travel Approver 3?
In the event that Travel Approver 2 is not available, Travel Approver 3 has the same system rights and can act as a back up whenever necessary.
